2013, This is a composite of about 50 shots. The original image is roughly 10,000 x 13,000 pixels (after being cropped). As with the composites, the detail is pretty amazing. It was taken along the eastern drive of the park, near Cleopatra’s needle. The biggest problem was that everyone that walked by wanted to lie down in the middle and let the falling blossoms cover them.

This is a composite (seamless stitching) of about 33 separate images. Composite images like this can usually be printed much larger than what is offered on the site. So ask if you are interested in a giga sized print. The result is that a) every aspect of the image is in focus from foreground to background and b) the original is huge, perhaps close to a terabyte. It reminds me of the Paul Simon lyric – a hazy shade of winter.

This is a “pano” composite image of roughly 20 images stitched together. Tough to see all the detail in this one – but it’s the East Side of the park, and there are a bunch of folks under the trees relaxing. Like most of the composite images I’ve been working on lately, it can easily be printed much larger than the sizes shown.

This was one of my early attempts at using Giga Pano equipment and stitching software. It is also one of the best, or at least moodiest images of Central Park in my collection. It’s composed of 21 images from a dslr. In other words, if you wanted to put this on a billboard – you could – that’s the level of available detail.

It’s this which accounts for the unusual reflection in the water as well as incredible detail. It’s printed from a file that is nearly a Terabyte.
