Or a walk in the discount store.
So you wanna know what were the results after the $1 per high resolution file was offered many times to over a million and a half people on G+? Are you ready?
TWENTY TWO PEOPLE BOUGHT AT LEAST ONE ITEM. Most of the people who purchased a file bought more than one. And several people bought around 20 files by the time the day was over.
So, then how much did I make?
Are you ready? Sure?
$80 (approximately) from G+
This morning I raised the price to $19.95 which is a more reasonable price and had three downloads from people who had bought at the $1 price.
The conversion rate from G+ is infinitésimal.
Oh, and after I thought G+ was played out, I sent out an email to 1000 former customers and had 8 purchases from that.
Food for thought.
My plan now is to beef up my Facebook presence and other presences and to use a sort of hub and spoke thing, i.e. the blog and the store are the hub and all the social media (including G+) are spokes that will be fed by this blog and by the store.

Your image above reminded my of 99 cent store by Andreas Gursky. I
believe it was once fetched the highest price of any photograph, although
one of his more recent works holds that record now.
Pity your downloads didn’t do as well.
