I had been using TweetMeme for the last month or so, which puts the Tweet thing with your Tweet Count by your posts… and then read recently in the Times that Twitter had finally made their own Tweet Button for use on blogs or any website where you want users to be able to tweet the article or post etc. I guess that puts an end to TweetMeme, although they say they are working with [more]
So after doing a ton of work on the storefront, I figure it’s about time to check it in various browsers. I had bee working with Dreamweaver as the design tool, in Max OSX, and I have parallel and Windows 7 installed, though I haven’t used either in many months; and the only reason would be to see what stuff looks like in Widows IE and Windows FF. As Parallel is starting up, I get [more]
- Buddy is recovering from his evening at the vets. He came back pretty groggy and shook up, but he seems to be getting back to normal, though his right eye is still messed up (the inner eyelid thing). I’m waiting for blood tests which will tell whether the eye is the result of an infection, or a genetic abnormality. If it is a genetic abnormality, I don’t know whether that is serious or not, [more]
Yes, due to popular requests of Tweeters (since I put the Tweet Widget onto the Photo Store pages) you can now comment on photos in the store. *** UPDATE *** And then after I added comments almost no one used them and I dropped a bit in G engine. So I decided to remove comments from the store. (More on the G. search later on in this post). *** UPDATE *** I like this shot [more]
On the home page, www.beckermanphoto.com you’ll see the 25 or so tweet logo at the top. I’m curious – when I go to tweet using it, I get my Twitter login to tweet with. What do you get? I think it’s either going to be your Twitter name if you have one, or maybe it lets you put your twitter name in; or else it will be prefilled with tweetmeme which is the plugin. Anyway [more]
Can hardly keep my eyes open but I have three prints waiting to be picked up by two people who are going to give them to one person as a gift for $300. And then there are about 20 more prints sitting in the in box to be printed but even though one of those orders should be started today I don’t see how I’m going to start it. I think I’m going to almost [more]
I tested it here first — you’ll see the tweet in the upper right corner of post… But now for the first time I put the ability to tweet in the PHOTOGRAPHY STORE. You can now TWEET an individual image from the store. This is of course useful to me for obvious reasons. Here’s an example from the store – what it looks like IN ACTION. I’ve done enough today; and it’s hot enough outside; [more]
Probably tonight: 8 x 12 no mat goes from $95 to $115 (so that it’s the same pricing as 11 x 14) 8 x 122 mat goes from $120 to $140 (same reason. Don’t want too many different prices) 15 x 23 goes from $195 to $250 (Again, bringing the rectangle prints to same prices as square-ish prints) Also I simply have more orders than I can comfortably do without way too much printing. These [more]
No picture in this one. Just a dilemma. As you can see, if you are following this at all, I’m mostly scanning medium and large format negatives. Don’t know what that means? Don’t care? Well, why should you. It’s ancient technology. But here’s the thing. The medium format cameras were mostly square format. There were two that weren’t: the Pentax 67, and the Pentax 645. I have tons of shots from these two rectangle cameras. [more]
While I can remember, let me jot down some stuff about the Paris trips. The first time I went was in September 1992. I went with two carry-ons: a large knapsack, and a saddle bag. The knapsack held: Rollei Twin Lens (in case you’re not familiar with the camera, it’s medium format, with one lens that can’t be removed). I had several filters for it, a hand-held light meter (reflective), a cable release, and the [more]
