As I go along, what strikes me is that black and white photography is much easier for me.  If it’s there, it’s there and then it’s a question of burning / dodging or bringing out what seems important (in a very small nutshell).

Color is more difficult – at least as an art form – because each image (at least as I go along) is getting a different workflow.  But some of these very simple images that are almost split-tones, are very pleasing to me.  And I’ve been printing them as well, and am happy with results.  At least for now.  Maybe when I look at the prints tomorrow I’ll feel differently.

From an infrared shot (modified camera). The shots which start off with a minimal amount of colors are the easiest to work with (for me). This, btw, wasn’t Spring. The pink is from the infrared shot.

Infrared flash in empty theater…  when I was starting to test this process.  Hey, I can’t help it was a small theater with hardly anyone in it.  But taken in pitch dark, and I wasn’t tossed out.
