Many of the images that I selected last year to look at again, do work well in color. This is one of them.

The third installment of my memoirs (who would’ve thunk it) are up on Pixiq. This shot was at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery – color infrared.

That is funny… I end the day going through the infrared shots from the outing to Sleepy Hollow.

This is a color version of an infrared shot with the modified Rebel XSI. Believe me – it doesn’t come out of the camera looking like this and has gone through a bunch of post-processing — but right now, I’m going to spend the day working on some of these infrared shots from the modded camera. Obviously these sold very well in b&w; but I really like them with this very light touch of color; plus each one is sort of surprising as you go through the workflow.

Again – start with infrared – then color to taste.

This is really about half painting, and half photograph. It began as an infrared photo when I was experimenting with various filters on the 40D (i.e. it wasn’t a modified IR camera as I used later on). But there was enough of an outline and I had colors from another shot, so that I essentially cloned the colors of the normal shot into this one. Yes – bit by bit in 2008.
