I was told that the Colgate clock, which is on the Colgate building, is an important NJ landmark. I had never seen it before the Circle Line cruise. Now I can’t think of what exactly it reminds me of – but something from a comedy with Jimmy Cagney that takes place during the cold war and was I think directed by Billy Wilder. I can’t remember the name, but the feeling of corporate logos and decrepit areas – it has something to do with that. Oh, I think that Cagney (now middle-aged) was working for Pepsi Cola.
