I went down to have a cigar and only had the iPhone in my pocket. There was a big fire in the Pizza store (no not Two Boots, I think it’s called Fat Sals) but a crappier store on second between 83rd and 84 on East Side of street. What is amazing is how many shots I managed to get my thumb into, never having used the iPhone before for shooting. I then imported the shots (most of them screwed up in one way or another) into Lightroom.
It’s the Pizza store right next to Monicas’ bodega where I get my breakfast once in a while. Hope Raul didn’t have any damage done to his place.

You want a nice slice in the neighborhood go to Luigis on 1st/88th or Italian Village on 1st/80th. Fat Sals is so bad it’ll make you want to set fire to the place.
Great for an iPhone shot. Is that the new iPhone? I heard the new one takes some descent photos.
That is amazingly sharp for a camera phone. Nice shot too Dave.
Thanks Phill. It’s all in the post processing. But I did futz with the camera software today, and actually figured out how to use it if I have to, i.e. it’s free third-party software called Camera Plus. I’m not sure, but I don’t think the model I got actually came with a camera, though of course it has the lens etc. on the back. I don’t know… maybe it did. The main thing in post-processing was de-noising it first; and then doing Lightroom stuff, and then sharpening it for the web in LR.
Pizza in German Yorkville Amazing what a phone can do,sure beats a Speed Graphic..Great stuff…
Yeah. More pizza than you can shake a speed graphic at. The phone is okay for the web; or small prints.
