How was it that I couldn’t find the negative ?? Very logical in retrospect.  I was sure that it was a 35tmm negative but it was taken with the Pentax 645.  Now, why did I think it was a 35mm negative?  Because it was taken a really really long time ago and I just didn’t realize I was shooting with any medium format stuff back then; and I also didn’t pay much attention to what I shot with the Pentax 645.

That’s it.  Now it has to be spotted, cleaned, and turned into a good print.  I don’t think I’ve ever sold this one before.  And I don’t even remember how I could have put it into the store without having a high res version of it somewhere.  Which I don’t since I actually looked through every image on the mac.  Enough of that.

Have a good day.

Relax.

And stay cool people.  Don’t get turned all upside down over one friggin’ neg.

  1. Unless someone is willing to pay you good $ for a print of it.

  2. Glad you found it.

  3. :) – well great that you found it. Now just remember you are having those kind of ‘memory moments’ now. So, when you do something like that 20 or 30 years from now, you can look back at this with a smile!!!

Easy for you to say, now that your neg’s back in your hands. I’ve been looking for a negative which might be my most popular image, and I have looked everywhere. I haven’t seen it since before I moved…I have made a decent scan from a print, but I still can’t believe I lost it…I have spent hours and hours looking for it.

Imagine if you had misplaced Poet’s walk…

  5. Yes. Once found the pain goes away. You feel like this won’t happen again. But it does.

That is bad news for sure. Odds are that you’ll find it. I’ve always found the lost neg eventually but the search is damned painful.

Good lick. May the old photography gods look over you.
