David Wright – he’s safe.  Mets v. the Reds.  Wright is having an amazin’ year.  I try to follow the Mets but don’t really do it.  I suspect that it’s simply that I never seem to know what channel they’re on.  Or maybe it’s that baseball on television is boring.  I did enjoy my time at the game with Lester and my sister.  It was my first time at the new stadium.  And having hit the ripe age of 60, Les and I got half price on the best tickets around.  I don’t remember how many rows back we were from third base – but not many.

There were several stolen bases and shooting from my seat (as this one was) on the third base side – was just the perfect place to be.

  1. Baseball is a strange sport. It doesn’t require exceptional strength or stamina. Yet the body must be primed for intense effort at the most critical moment. This photo illustrates how coordination, readiness, and intense desire go into the most exciting plays in baseball.
