Best time to fin surprises in the garbage is early Sunday morning. And 2nd Avenue is the best place to find interesting garbage.
I’m certain that I could get a Guggenheim grant to photograph Second Avenue garbage on Sunday mornings. This loks like a giant ice-cube with cigarette butts, and that’s what it is. My favorite item is green and round – but I’ll ave that for a little bit later in the day. It may make you hungry.
