   Oh, many gamblers will recognize this scene. After an entire night of blackjack, craps, or poker, after losing all your cash and exceeding your limit on all your credit and debit cards, you wander out into sun setting on the beach and pledge never to gamble again. You turn around and under the boardwalk the homeless stir, a barefoot lady approaches and asks for a date, but you have nothing to give her. She is richer than you. The orange sun peeks on the horizon and the seagulls begin to scream.

   I never liked to gamble, but Lester’s description is perfect. I imagine a lot of soul searching has occurred there, unaware of the screaming gulls…
