Experimenting with the LCD swivel – and suspicion it is. I’m there reflected, looking away from this fellow while camera is pointed at him in the window of Starbucks. This is actually the only “what is that guy doing” shot. I had a pretty good cloak of invisibility in my other shots, either because I was looking down at my swivel screen, or the camera was pointed to the right while I was looking straight ahead. The swivel screen has it’s uses for street shooting and I’ll post a few later that were shot without my being stared at.

He seems so shocked by what he is seeing. What a great impression. Is this a Nikon D5000 ? hard to read the brand on strap from the reflection.
Its my Canon T4I
SHOT AT RIGHT ANGLE. I’m standing there for five minutes futzing with the camera. Should I use the Quick Focus, the Face Module Focus etc… and he’s watching me all along until suddenly I move the camera practically right in his face.
:) that’s great. How it 4Ti? We have one 3Ti and one 2Ti. They are quiet good for their prices. I didn’t even realize 4Ti came out. Is that more towards video users who can’t effort 7D/5D or do you believe upgrades concerns “photographers” gives closer results to MarkII-III family? or did I make even any sense? :)
HI Dave, Can you walk around with the camera using the swivel LCD in Live View for the better part of the day? I remember reading when Live View first came out about a heating problem?
I had to buy a new body recently, and I ended up with a T2i, figuring I wouldn’t use the live view of the T3i that much (this was about 2 weeks before the T4i announcement ;-) But it looks like a great tool – I liked my Canon A620 so much for exactly that reason.
Its not that it gets hot but in live view it easily eats up a fresh battery in 2 hours. So you end up turning it on and off as needed which is easy. It is much improved over the t3i in terms of focus speed but no, you don’t just leave it on.
Your use is planned. But I love it. Use it all the time.
One other oddity you might not realize is that when used as a right angle finder, the lens is always pointed to your right. One final benefit, the screen can close so that it protects the LCD screen. In short its an improvement and im about to order a second and possibly. Third battery.
