Do you remember who played the Thin Man? They were my favorite detective movies. There really was only one Thin Man book. But they sure did churn those movies out. If you look it up in IMDB – that doesn't count.
First one to answer correctly gets a giant +1 from this early morning Thin Man Shadow

Street photographer that I didn't know – tries to take my picture while I'm sitting in a diner. Later I find her name is Susan. I jump up at the same time and take this picture of her through the diner window and we both laugh.

I went out into the rain and we chatted, exchanged cards and such and she asked for a print if it turned out well.

I had been sitting in the diner with my friend +Matt Weber who is a street photographer and I always find it hilarious how we both vie for the best seat (from a shooting point of view) when we have lunch together.

It's like two old gunfighters sitting down – both trying to get the best seat. Well, I'll just mosey along now… today I've got a bunch of printing to get through.

Street Photographer

How to recognize a street photographer: 1) Camera is not hanging from neck but the strap is wrapped around hand and or wrist 2) They are waiting for something. You don't know what. They don't know what. It may walk by them as in this shot and they don't see it. 3) They have their favorite spots. This street photographer has claimed all of Times Square as his home ground. 4) Boots rather than shoes. [more]

Shadows

Second Avenue (as if it matters)Against the door of an Indian Restaurant (which also doesn't matter)And you just stand there forever waiting for the right accumulationWhich is a very normal #streetphotography technique where you pick some background which becomes a stage and wait for the players to enter.

Time to Get In Shape

It's a strong city. This is by Engineer's Gate, entrance to Central Park (fifth avenue in background). I got my workout when I saw her doing chin-ups (or are they pull-ups) from the lamp post and was too far away and came running up to my stop – took the shot and then she dropped off. #streetPhotography
