2010. I will admit, that I have shot this monument to the Duke many times, and that it has always eluded me. The difficulty has always been not to make it completely a silhouette, since there is interesting detail worth capturing, such as the tie and sense of style that the Duke is wearing. The light was right, and I was experimenting with HDR which is a technique for expanding the dynamic range that you can capture. Long story short, this was to my liking.
