circa 1995. This is a shot looking down into the service entrance for an upper east side building by the East River. Sometimes, when I don’t know what to title a print, I’ll ask the blog readers. Response: Vertigo, Dizzy, Escher’s Stairs, Escher’s Stairwell (which I used). Lester gave me that one. I hope they spelled the artist’s name correctly. One of those photographs that is both real and abstracted at the same time. Which way is up?
