I took this when the limo arrived at the site of my Grandfather’s grave. We were in the car with my father and Grandmother and my two sisters. My sisters saw that I had brought a camera and was taking it from my suit pocket (Hexar Classic). As the driver opened the car, I suddenly brought the camera up and took this picture.
They both told me that it was inappropriate, but I don’t think my father or Grandmother saw what I did. I’ve always believed that some times you had to break societies rules if you wanted to get unique images. It reminds me of a scene from an Ingmar Bergman film – maybe the Seventh Seal?
