Into the Cosmos / itc01
When I first posted this in the photo blog, there were questions about what it was, and how it was done.
Years ago I had a digital camera converted so that it was only sensitive to infrared light. and I’ve done a lot of work with it since, still being surprised by what happens with various subjects and light sources.
Water, almost always turns reads as a rich oily black. This shot was done by pointing the camera into a reflection of the sun in a puddle after a long rain. The puddle has leaves and other subjects that add to the abstraction. And on this day the sun was bright and I could barely see what I was shooting, having the frame filled with the sun. Several readers commented: “Looks like staring into the Cosmos.”

Limited Edition print size, (*LTD*) is currently at: 0 of 100.
Domestic Shipping via Fedex is Free. An adult signature is required unless you tell me otherwise.
Use the Wishlist to create a list of possibles that may go together. The horizontal and vertical sorts are also handy print selection tools.
The BECKERMANPHOTO.COM LOGO is only on the web image, not on the print.
DELIVERY AND PRINT PRODUCTION: Each print is made to order. I sign and date prints in the lower right border. If you are purchasing a matted print, then the mat is signed and dated as well. Each print also includes a signed CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. These are not mass-produced posters. The finest paper and archival inks available are used. At this time I am using Epson Exhibition Fiber Double Weight Paper which is often used for museum and gallery shows of black and white photography. Expect between 10 to 15 business days to receive your order.
RUSH MY PHOTOS: I can do a faster turnaround if you let me know before placing your order. There is no extra charge for a rush order, but you should definitely confirm via email that I can do the quick turnaround for you.
NO HASSLE MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE: I began this photography site on Christmas Day, 1999. Since then, there have been one or two returns and thousands of orders. So my policy is to give a hassle free return or exchange for any reason at all. Although I like to make enough money to live on, this is not a business you go into to make money. A transaction only makes sense if you are completely happy with your print(s).
BEHIND THE SCENES I work in my apartment on New York's upper east side that's crammed with equipment. Every bit of this business, from packaging to printing is done by me. If you live nearby, we can make arrangements for you to pick up your order, but please don't drop by thinking this is a gallery where you can browse prints. It isn't.
MY PROMISE TO YOU I will go the extra mile to make sure that you are happy with your work of art.
Sincerely,
Dave Beckerman, 2010.
