All transactions on this site go through Paypal. What that means is that I never see or collect or save your credit card information. Believe me, I don’t want the responsibility.

Now how can you tell if you are really using Paypal and not being “spoofed.” The address bar will read: https://www.paypal.com

Another common way to prevent spoofing or fraud is to simply do a google search for the business you are investigating. In my case, if you were to search for Dave Beckerman Photography, google will bring back many links, some going back to 1999 when the site began. You’ll find reviews, and links to my images, and you may even find advice I’ve given to other photographers. It will be daunting because with all the links that are brought back you’ll also find awards that I’ve won, and all sorts of projects I’ve worked on.

In short, this would be very difficult, if not impossible, to make up.

Now on top of all that, if you order through Paypal your transaction is essentially insured by them. (Which is also good for me.) I haven’t had a single case of fraud in the eleven years I’ve been selling on the web, but it is nice to know that your information is protected which is why I continue to use Paypal as do 190 million other customers.
